Pension

Pension can seem complicated. There’s a lot to keep track of, the rules keep changing – and the choices you make can affect the rest of your life. That’s why Styrke offers two strong pension services for our members, provided by the independent experts at Tredjepart AS:

Pension Phone Line – a free and easy-access service for all members, regardless of age

Pension Advisory Service – a thorough, personal review for members turning 57 or older this year

The goal is to make it easier to understand what to expect, which choices you have, and when it might be smart to act.

Pension Phone Line – for all members

Do you have questions about pensions? Call our free Pension Phone Line – an easy and accessible service for all members, no matter your age. Here, you can speak to experts who answer everything from basic questions to more complex ones.

Examples of questions you can get help with:

  • What is my pension made up of?
  • How does AFP (Contractual Early Retirement Pension) work?
  • Should I save extra – and how?
  • What is IPS (Individual Pension Savings)?
  • What should I be thinking about right now?

Pension Advisory Service – for members turning 57 or older this year

Are you planning to retire soon? Then you can receive a thorough, written review of your pension options – including AFP, the National Insurance Scheme, and your occupational pension.

You qualify if you:

  • Turn 57 or older this year
  • Have not started withdrawing AFP or old-age pension
  • Have not used this service before

You will get:

  • A complete overview of what you can expect to receive – both before and after age 67
  • An assessment of the consequences of early retirement or combining work with pension
  • Personalised advice – confidential and with no obligations

Cost: Only NOK 500 – the rest is covered by the union

Education and training

Apply for a grant for further education and courses

  • Full-year study (full-time or part-time): up to NOK 13,500 per year (flexible deadline)
  • Practice candidates taking a trade certificate based on work experience: up to NOK 10,500 per year
  • Shorter courses (minimum four days): up to NOK 4,000
